I really enjoyed this Documentary. I have seen it countless times now. I have discussed with older people that remember the Vietnam War and they commented that they thought McNamara was just being self serving. My own thoughts are based on the limited audio clips Robert clearly states that Vietnam will be a really bad thing to get involved with. Johnson pushes the War. I think in my limited knowledge to call Vietnam McNamara’s war is unfair.
I have seen the show and downloaded it. I understood the convictions of Mr. McNamara. Yet I too fully understand his feelings to have to send Our Boys into a War that is based on False Evidence.
Did Someone Say George W. Bush? I could also see the holding back of tears too. Unlike the rank humor of Bush as he jokingly say’s, “We didn’t find any WMD’S Here, Nope, None of here Either.”
I can sum up the Movie by saying it showed that WE today can look at war in two different ways. In the Day’s of Hitler we saw the grainy black and white reel’s of footage that was used to convict some of the worst War Criminals that ever lived. But…
Today, We have Digital HDTV with a Quality that is second to none. It Exposes War Crime after War Crime but the SHOE is on OUR Feet NOW. Yet NO-ONE will lift a finger to bring to Justice those GUILTY.
